The 2nd WEFE Nexus Forum took place on February 5-6, 2025, in Tangier, Morocco. The theme is “Multilevel Cooperation for Resilient Development,” it addresses interconnected challenges in water, energy, food, and ecosystems.
The event covered interesting key highlights including showcasing innovations like agrivoltaics and green hydrogen, launching the “Tangier Declaration” for sustainable resource management, and signing a multilevel convention to formalise partnerships. The forum emphasised renewable energy adoption, agricultural resilience, efficient water use, and biodiversity protection.
With a focus on the Tangier-Tétouan-Al Hoceima region, the 2nd Forum WEFE Nexus demonstrated how localised strategies can align with global sustainability goals. By fostering collaboration among stakeholders, the forum set a roadmap for building resilient communities worldwide.
